Really nice! Yea, there is a CD26 in the slip next to mine and they can run the motor tiller through the opening. It would be nice.

Cool...the notch sounds close to what mine is. Do you run your motor with the cover closed? It sure would be quieter. Although, my motor tiller is not run through the opening. I fold it up to close the cover. I usually turn the motor alot when pulling into and out of the slip.

Tohatsu 6 Sail Pro
Another vote for the Tohatsu 6 Sail Pro! I just put a new one on my boat and it works great. Pushed Glimmer along at hull speed with 3+ foot seas and a 20+ mph head wind...at only 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. I used to have the shorter shaft, which worked fine, but would come out of the water sometimes in l...

Awesome!
Great video and music Carter.
btw...we've been enjoying sailing the former Mary Ellen CD25 around the middle Chesapeake Bay. Over the week preceding the 4th we spent 6 nights on it, all 4 of us! Although we probably need something larger, she is a wonderful boat and a joy to sail.

CD25 water tank
When I bought Tempest (1976 CD25) last year she came with a polyethelene tank with about 5 gal of brownish, slimey water that I think dated back to the day she was built. As far as I was concerned, it was beyond salvage. So I tore it out, along with all of the plumbing and the cheesy foot pump, and...

Inflatable dinghy lights
Time for another polling of ideas! (I know how we love it)
How do those with powered inflatable dinghys mount bow and stern lights? Any particular brands that stand out?
Thanks!

Tiller...
Now you all have me worried. Is there a reason to lash down the tiller? I am at a dock so am not swinging around a mooring. Ron, I am not an expert by any means but I have read stories about worn out rudder bushings and such caused by 30 years of the rudder swinging freely while not in use. I secur...

Costco marine battery
Well, I ended up buying a battery from Costco last night. We'll see how it works out...can't beat the price. Plus I needed it on a rather short notice and I wanted to throw it on the charger last night. Since my battery use is minimum it should last pretty good. It is an 85 amp hour...the one I have...

Thanks for the reply. So you like the yellow top over the blue top? Which one needs the special charger? I've got a regular car battery charger as well as a solar panel for the boat. Where do you get the Trojan batteries? I guess you wire those in series to get 12 volts? I've seen some folks talking...

CD25 battery
I am in need of a new battery for Glimmer. The current battery charges up just fine but once put into use it drains very quickly. The only thing we are using the battery for is the lights and bilge pump as we have an outboard motor. I am not sure what size battery to purchase. I want to purchase one...

Bottom paint
The previous owner painted mine with ablative paint. It is flaking off pretty bad. Enough to look really bad, and make a big mess when I washed the boat. I wish I could remove all that too.

Patch
The patch might be the way to go, but I still want to investigate welding a poly patch in. Make it look factory like. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
