FWIW Epifanes allows you to repair the areas that have been lifted or are damaged. Some varnish will require you to strip the whole boat and start over. Peter,
Inspection of the engine bed may be required before replacing the mounts. They are usually made of soft steel with many at the end of their useful life. There are many threads on this site that address this issue.

I believe Harken still makes bronze wenches. I purchase two # 6 bronze B6BBA one speed wenches last year and only need one to replace the old chrome reefing wench on the boom. If anyone needs a #6 send me a PM.

Ours must have been changed by a PO to cable with line attached about 2' from the boom. No hum but I feel like I'm missing out on all the late night fun.

I had the same problem two years ago. Cleaning the screen on the facet solved the problem. Start with the easy stuff first.
