Re: For Sale Cape Dory 36

I'm interested. My CD36 was deemed a total loss after she was blown over while on the hard. The link doesn't work.

You don't have sails for sale? I'm looking for a set of CD36 sails in any condition. The cheaper the better.

Re: Brightwork question...

FWIW Epifanes allows you to repair the areas that have been lifted or are damaged. Some varnish will require you to strip the whole boat and start over. Cetol is a heck of lot easier however it doesn't look as polished. After 4 years of varnishing, which the admiral said she would help with if we ha...

Re: CD30 Engine Mount Replacement

Peter,

Inspection of the engine bed may be required before replacing the mounts. They are usually made of soft steel with many at the end of their useful life. There are many threads on this site that address this issue.

Re: Third Battery on CD 36

Jeff, 5 AGM Lifeline group 27 batteries located under the cockpit behind the engine mounted to a wood platform. Temp sensors are a must we also have a narco solar fan located in the aft hatch cover. Two house banks and one dedicated starting bank. Seems like overkill for the type of sailing we do ho...

Re: Lewmar winches

I believe Harken still makes bronze wenches. I purchase two # 6 bronze B6BBA one speed wenches last year and only need one to replace the old chrome reefing wench on the boom. If anyone needs a #6 send me a PM.

Re: Topping lift hum

Ours must have been changed by a PO to cable with line attached about 2' from the boom. No hum but I feel like I'm missing out on all the late night fun.
