Re: Message from webmaster re: Problems with the message boa
I than think there is a "elephant in the room" situation here.
The lack of any request for help in solving this problem from those in charge of our web site and this forum
coupled with the recent posting from Steve Kuhar on the Masthead is indicitive.
Everyone should read it.

Re: Still getting "500" error/screen
robwm: Can you be more explicit as what you did to produce the "500" error and/or the white screen? In my experience (on Windows 10), hitting the refresh button after posting - then the "Resend" button - then the back arrow brings me back to board. Not the way it should be - but ...

This may be premature thinking: I asked here if anyone knew what company is hosting the forum - mention was made it may be InMotion Hosting. I went to the phpbb community forum (mentioned in my previous post), registered as a new user, and searched on "InMotion" The following post is of in...

Re: Message from webmaster re: Problems with the message boa
This forum IS invaluable and we need to keep it up and running. It is a resource that binds us together - through our common interests - even though we don't necessarily know each other. It works because we can find information about subjects others have been willing to share. It works because we ca...

Re: Message from webmaster re: Problems with the message boa
May not be able to help but have worked with these open source products over the years. Questions: Where/how is the forum hosted? 500 errors usually are server related. Log files on the server should be available. The hosting company should be able to help. What version are we on? Have we visited th...

Re: Stripping Cetol
For several years, I have used an adjustable temperature heat gun along with a set of nozzles. With the right nozzle and running the gun above 500 F, I had not had any problems in keeping the heat safely directed at the Cetol.

Re: Need help with freshwater system
I would expect the pump to be a diaphragm type.
I replaced the diaphragm and the check valves on ours after the pump got to the point of not working reliably in
the process of switching from one tank to another.
It is an easy fix once the pump is out.

Here is a review that appeared in Sailing Magazine in 2011:

A great boat to work on because it is a great boat to look at!

Re: Temp and Pressure Sender Thread Size for 4018?
I asked the owner of the engine shop we use. His response: "oil pressure port is 1/8" npt and water is 1/2" npt". His contact info: Patrick J. Ricci, President Thomaston Boat & Engine Works, Inc. MAIL & SHIP TO ADDRESS, PARTS AND OPERATIONS LOCATION: Thomaston Boat and En...

Re: 1982 CD36 Questions
Original traveler - vendor was Nicro.
Search on "mainsheet traveler" - you will find a lot of information. I sense owners prefer replacing the Nicro setup - and lean (perhaps) to Garhauer.
