Frank, I found your exact question, to the word, on another website posted by someone named Susan. What's up, are you Susan in drag?

A dead man switch on the throttle/engine or a remote would be nice.

Would there be a way to do something to get the boat to circle or head upwind if it wasn't manned with you in the water?

As a beginner, this is my biggest fear. Here I am at the tiller holding her steady on course or even just into the wind while he takes down the main. I absolutely hate it when a speed boat cuts too close to us when he's up on the main. What if he gets knocked into the drink? What do I do after throw...

I'm a beginner but I would feel the way you do. I attend to the sailing even if I"m not the one doing it. If we talk, we do it while watching for craft. I can't imagine a person sitting in the 28 cockpit while we are tacking and them ignoring what was going on. Bleh

With the claws banded so they don't eat each other, lobsters keep very nicely in a towable wooden crate.
Or a dinghy, rescue and lunch all on the same tow line!

At Marina Bay, Quincy MA a boat that came loose from one of the Boston harbor Islands came over the seawall at high tide the night before last and acted like a pinball in the outer lane (J dock) of the marina. Neil can tell you more about it although he said he slept through the actual commotion. I ...

She is a lab (yes chocolate) with an appetite to match but her owner keeps her very healthy by not giving her people food at all. She's always looking for food anyway and it is hard not to give in but she's healthier for it and still has her girlish figure at 6 1/2 years old. However, that didn't st...

Not that kind of clean up, sheesh. The ferrets are picky eaters and never finish their treats but they spred them around.

Wow, and I thought I knew something about pet toxic foods - Thank you Warren, 2/3 I'd never heard of. Xyitol really surprises me, does anyone know the mechanism? Is it that it triggers insulin in dogs even though it isn't metabolized properly? Do they release insulin from cephalic phase more than pe...

Sunblock on noses and upright ear tips for sure! Even dark colored doggies can get sunburt in the relected intense light onboard.

Do dogs get seasick or is that a two legged problem only?

Well I thought it was interesting and could have been on topic if we had a discussion about what would happen to Atlantic sailing if or when the gulf current really does disappear. How would that change wind patterns? What happens to the pattern of storms?

We went out twice on Saturday. It was my first time sailing in the Cdory 28 and first ever where I did any of the sailing myself!

The wind was light and it was pretty chilly out but still lots of fun.

Get your priorities straight man!
