I should appreciate hearing from anyone who has installed a windlass (electric or manual) on a Cape Dory 30 Cutter. I got a quote for installing a Lofran Project 1000, but it was prohibitive.

I replaced my motor with a (then new) 2003 Yamaha 8HP 4-stroke with controls in the cockpit. It's great, but was expensive.
