Typhoon

There is also an 'eye' in this hole which was used when installing the keel. Do not use to lift the boat...we have heard of an owner who thought it was a "lifting ring". It is not.

Port a bote

We have an inflatable and a port a bote. We have a CD31 cutter so we don't have the place on the bow to keep an inflatable in a "ready to go" state. The port a bote tows great when the painter is tight and the bow is out of the water. We pull the boat vertically with a spare halyard and ri...

Cuttyhunk

Joe,
I think we were anchored at Cuttyhunk the same night. We were on a Freedom 40, with 2 black masts, in the outside harbor about 2 boats behind a CD25D. It must have been the two of you.

We had a great time visiting with CD'ers in Essex and looking at the various boats.

Boston to Norfolk

That is our basic plan, go from Boston thru the CCC, down Long Island Sound to New York. John has been thru the CCC before and is familiar with that part. Some of the trip will be overnight but mostly we will be in marinas.

We appreciate the info.

C Cushions

The company will "re-dip" the cushions so they will look good as new.

New owner definitely wants to sail by Statue of Liberty even though we know it will be out of the way. Any tips from those who sail t...

Primarily because our painter only uses Imron. Our first choice was Awlgrip.

Typhoon Restoring

It has been awhile since I've posted anything but wanted to let everyone know we are restoring our Ty, KnoTy Boy, in time for the SBC Rally in May. We have removed all the teak, prepared the bottom and hull for paint. We have decided to have the hull and topsides professionally imron'd so she will l...
