Dinghy Dogs vs Walker Bay Collar
While persuing this topic elsewhere, ran across reference to Dinghy Dogs, essentially the same thing as the collar for the Walker Bay, but about 1/2 the price. Anyone have any experience with either?

Walker Bay Dinghy
I have one, used it several times. I do agree it is very tender, once I flipped myself out because I readjusted where I was sitting, went too far to one side. So, I would be very hesitant about using it to move people or anything valuable. However, I am intrigued with the collar attachment. If it wi...

Wallas Stove/Heater
Has anyone tried the Wallas Diesel Stove/Heaters? They look like they would fit and work ok on a CD 27.

Re: Launching tomorrow!!!
NOt quite. Been doing some things suggested by the surveyor to my "new to me" CD 27. I discovered and issue with the stem head fitting, posted separately. Put in a new fuel tank, new fuel lines, painted the bottom, washed and waxed the hull. However, after reading the extensive comment abo...

Stemhead Fitting Gap
I noticed a gap between the stemhead fitting and the hull. I looked underneath, in the anchor well, and saw no signs of damage. The gap is maybe 1/4" just on the starboad side.
Does anyone have any insight?
Thanks

Fuel Line Shut Off Valve
One of the items in the survey I had done was that there needs to be a shut off valve in the fuel line. I looked on Jamestown Distributors site and found a valve but I'm not familiar with the requirement for this. Can anyone shed some light? Or should I have something done professionally? Once I had...

Requires Contortionist
I was at my boat today. Removed the fuel tank, and while there was sitting in the port cockpit locker. Man, that was painful, and I'm not all that big, 5'10" 200 lbs. I can't quite figure out how to rearrange my body so that I could reach down to where the shaft log, coupling, etc is located. H...

Wondering if anyone knows of local suppliers for Tef-Gel and PSS Shaft seal around Annapolis or Greater Washignton DC area. Ok, looks like I will need to figure a day to remove the coupling, shaft, etc. then take the shaft and coupling to a prop shop, probalby take a week or 2 for them, then another...

replacing stuffing box hose
WOW! Thank you so much, that is exactly what I needed. I am certain I would have had to make more trips up and down without the details you provided. I'll let you know how it goes. I will be certain to have an assistant. Once when working on another boat underneath the cockpit, I almost got stuck, c...

Replacing Stuffing Box Hose
I did a search on this and saw a number of posts. But since I'm not the sharpest fluke on the anchor, I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to go through the steps necessary to replace the hose on the stuffing box. I'm assuming that the propeller shaft will have to be removed, at least part...

Great Info Here
Hello, I am new to this board, I just bought a CD 27, well actually about 6 weeks ago. ONe of the things the survey said, is that the shore power system needs to be redone. I'm not a stranger to wiring, etc, but wondering if anyone has any particular tips as to experience and/or equipment.
Thanks
