Inflatable and Hard Dinghy For Sale/ Conn. Shoreline
I sold my Typhoon and no longer need either of the dinks I used to get to my mooring. Zodiac Zoom. Purchased new in 2011. Used for five seasons, then stored, rolled up in the storage bag in my garage. 7' 7" long, 4' 5" beam. Rollup slat floor. 57lbs. Everything's there, seat, oars, storage...

Re: Some Pix of Previously Posted "For Sale-Typhoon San Ange
San Angelo has gone to a new home on the Chesapeake. She is a beautiful little boat. I'm happy, and fortunate, to have owned her for eight years. Given condition, I would not hesitate to buy another Cape Dory sailboat. I feel more than a little like I've lost a family member, but I know her new owne...

Registering a boat in Maryland
From Jim Ventrilio to any CD/boat owners in Maryland. I have my Typhoon "San Angelo" posted on the board for sale. I've got someone from Maryland interested. He's never owned a boat before and it seems that Maryland wants to see something called a Certificate of Origin for a boat in order ...

Typhoon Weekender Package For Sale-$5,000.00
Hull #1631 San Angelo -- Built 1979. I am third owner. Boat originally owned by someone in South Carolina, and trucked up here to Conn. in mid 1990s to the person I bought it from. I have owned since late 2008. If you're on this board then you're probably already acquainted with dimensions, lore of ...

Re: Trailing a Ty
I have a float off trailer; the boat sits on bunks. The trailer has an extension tongue, almost six feet long when extended. This is a big help when floating the boat on/off the trailer when the tide's on the low side. The Typhoon is a heavy little boat.

I've pulled the boom down as far as it will go, and the sail will not flatten.

Ty Weekender Mast
Can't find anything in the specs on the site which gives the overall length of the Ty Weekender mast, not just the "P" of 22 feet. I was asked by a sailmaker to measure mine from the top of the main halyard hoist to the deck. I got 23 feet, five inches, give or take about another four inch...

Re: Broken Typhoon spreader
If you haven't already done so, you can make your own...easy and cheap. My local Ace hardware sells tube aluminum. I bought a length that matched the diameter of the original spreader and used one of those pipe cutters plumbers use to cut copper tube. You can find those at the same ACE store. If not...

Typhoon Weekender Standing Rigging
Can the specs in the owner's manual that's on this site be trusted as far as standing rigging goes. I have to replace the standing rigging on my Weekender.
Thanks.
PS: Anyone have any experience with Rolly Tasker sails? I've been thinking about a new main.

Re: Blood on fiberglass
Amazon's Teak Cleaner claims it will remove fish blood. Or try some household bleach, straight or diluted.

Typhoon Weekender Transom
At the very top of the Weekender's transom, did these boats leave the factory with a teak or metal edging? I have a series of small screw holes on my transom and have been wondering why they are there.
My hull # is 1631, a 1979 boat. Can anyone supply an answer?
Thanks,
Jim V
