Last year, at someone's suggestion, I replaced the standard green plastic pull-type nozzle with a dishwashing nozzle, the type you find at a kitchen sink.
Wow, much nicer!

I rather like these latches
...although I don't know where to buy them. This was taken aboard a Saga (Canadian-built, I think) at last fall's Annapolis Show. Probably if you contacted Saga they could fix you up.

I'm happy with my Standard Horizon HX350S because...
...it accepts not only the rechargeable battery pack but also regular alkaline batteries. It's also submersible (a must-have feature!)
It came with AC and DC charger + the alkaline battery holder, so I had no extras to buy.
Do they still make the thing, I wonder?

I recently polled owners on another list (Tartan) with this same question as I will be replacing the 32 y.o. winches on my boat. All but one person recommended Andersen ST's and that person recommended Lewmar's. Several people commented that they liked the ribs better than the textured (knurled?) dr...
