Where are you located? We have a 1986 21A that we pulled from our 27, it was running at the time, we just wanted to go electric. No one in the Midwest seem interested, so it is available cheap.

Do you have a sense for the speed you could operate at continuously with a reasonably sized (i.e. 2200 watt) generator running? She could run at 4-5 kts for as long as the gasoline hold out. The electric motor will push the boat up to hull speed with no problems, HOWEVER at that speed my cruising time is down to about 20 minutes. At 3.5kts we can cruise for about eight hours. If you need that range at those speeds you would require a huge battery bank.
