Thanks Jim! The photos are great. That's the exact same spot I'm thinking of using.

Propane Stove CD30
I'm thinking of switching out Christine C's Hillerange alcohol stove for propane. The biggest challenge on the CD30 is where to put the tank. I'm thinking of this stern rail mount www.suremarineservice.com/Galley/Propane-Railmount-Bracket-Assembly/001-749A.html Have any of you used something similar...

Re: Looking for:
Skip, thanks for posting this! I just received my shipment of the parts you used from Ronstan. How did you attach the end caps to the T-track? It looks lie they have #4 or #6 threads. I don't see any fasteners in your photos except on the cheek blocks. Did you drill or tap into the T-track and use a...

Re: Typhoon cockpit deck structure
There's probably not solid glass going across, just hardened resin between plywood panels. At least that's what I found on my CD30. Mine had two different thickness pieces of wood. I wrote a pretty extensive post about what I did in 2016. I cut out the entire top skin, then all the rotted or wet cor...

Re: Staysail Forestay Quick Release Suggestions
I used a Wichard part. Not cheap but it works great. I have a loop in the deck fitting and secure it out of use to a shroud base.

Re: Teak and Holly cabin sole. S/V Leoma
JD,
I have a grate in the head exactly like you show. I have a sump too, about 2in deep. It goes all the way back to the hatch near the galley where it drains to a pump. The sump picks up water if you shower in the head.

Re: dockline length
I use 30 feet or a little longer for bow, stern and spring. Like Jim, you never know what you'll encounter at some docks. And with the extra it's easier to shift the boat around. At our yacht club lift we have to tie off to the fuel dock then turn immediately 90 degrees into the pit. The longer line...

Re: Cockpit Locker Hinges - bolt replacement
I did the same as John. On my CD30 there does seem to be core in the hatches so it seemed like a prudent idea. I also found oversized washers, about 3/4in diameter.
