Re: Cockpit Locker Hinges - bolt replacement
I did the same as John. On my CD30 there does seem to be core in the hatches so it seemed like a prudent idea. I also found oversized washers, about 3/4in diameter.

Re: Replacement Teak
When I was at Boulter in January, prices for teak had doubled since 2020 and they told me their supplier was finished and they would not replenish their inventory (for teak, that is).

Re: Leoma. Icebox conversion
I went and looked at the data I took on our 3 week Maine cruise in '22. I saw 0.7A per hour which is 16.8Ah per day. It was pretty warm that year, the water was often 70F and air temps were often over 80F during the day. If I did it again, I think I would skip the drilling holes and expanding foam. ...

Re: Leoma. Icebox conversion
JD, I did a pretty thorough job of insulating mine, CD30 also. I see the compressor run about 6-8mins/hr and I'm in 60-65 degree water most of the time.

Note that I used way too thick G10. John Stone points out that 1/4in would be fine.
Let me know if you have other questions.

That's the brand I use. I kind of recall they made a slightly different formulation with a light blue label but don't remember what was the difference.

Re: Ventilation under settees
Most of the time, on Christine C, in New England, ventilation is not a problem. Stock ventilation is one dorade over the head and I can leave everything closed. If it's humid and hot (over 85F for extended periods) and I can't keep ports open (like when it rains nonstop), I get mildew on some surfac...
