What a happy sight!
I know this is old news by now but I only recently got power, internet etc back. But it was great to see the little boat bobbing there, the water was about 3 ft higher than the photo, but receded quickly. I don't know how you folks down south deal with this all the time-every 25 yrs is enough for me...

Good Luck Everyone
Well that's it-sails and boom off, boat moved to a larger slip, all lines doubled up with a bit of slack, chafing gear on. Keeping my fingers crossed, hope everyone comes out OK.

Tack line
I have a small block mounted on the forward hole, used for the jib downhaul. I lower the jib and switch the (really small) snap shackle to the tack of the Flasher. The line runs back to the cleat on the cabin top. http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b7cf30b3127ccec2c2defc078600000010O00AaOG7hqzcOGIPbz...

Old gas
I have a one gallon tank. I also use about 2-3 gal/season, and I've put 1/2 gallon in the SUV tank before with no problem. Don't know about 3 gal though.

Been there, done that
I've been in Madrid for the past several days to visit my son; While here we visited the Museo Thyssen Bournemiesza. It was an amazing collection, but one small painting caught my eye. "Cristo en la tempestad del mar de Galilea" It shows a small sailboat, about the size of a CD25 or 27, ca...

Fairclough cover
I've had a Fairclough cover for my Typhoon for the past 5 or 6 years and I'm happy with it.

Fuel
Ditto-Leave the tank full with the usual amount of stabilizer added. Been doing that for 13 yrs now-Yamaha 3hp-engine runs great.

Sheets
Andy-Great description of driving the boat under the spinnaker-this I think is the real key to the jibe. I'm using Sta-Set X Lite 5/16 for sheets. Low stretch, lightweight, bouyant. They are Spectra parallel core with a polypropylene cover. Not sure if that rope is still available.
