Staysail Pedestal CD36?

See attached link to pics of a staysail pedestal I believe goes to a CD36. It is approximately 7'5" high overall this base is about 4" x 4". If it doesn't go with a CD36 perhaps someone knows what I does belong to.... I'd like to give it to someone who can/will use it so it's free to ...

Re: CD 36 - how fast are they ?

Using straight design specs - they look pretty comparable. I'm surprised the SA/Disp is so low on the Rustler (perhaps the staysail isn't included)

Re: QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR BOATYARD

John I've used this DIY yard in the past. The last time 5 years ago (they've changed owners since). In looking at the website it now looks like they charge a "non-storage work fee". Can't tell if that is in addition to the storage rates. http://safecoveinc.com/ Fortunately, there's a DIY y...

Re: ANY EXPERIENCE W/ APPLYING ABLATIVE OVER HARD BOTTOM PAI

John - I'm using a similar process and it seems to work. 2008: Soda Blasted bottom to gelcoat, Interlux Barrier Coat applied followed by Trinidad SR applied (this is a Hard Modified Epoxy). 2012: Lightly Sanded bottom and applied 3 coats BlueWater Copper Shield (this was an ablative that at the time...

Looking good. Hopefully the dolphin piling stern line isn't too tight.

Re: Suggestions on coming about on a cutter

I find it helpful to delay/backwind the staysail which then encourages the yankee to slide thru the slot.

Re: Bilge pump blues

I solved this problem with a small 'sweeper' pump (with the integrated switch) and an inline backflow preventing valve. Then mounted about 3 inches above the small pump is a rule 3700 (hooked to an alarm). The backflow valve will create friction and so is only used for the small boat leaks we all ha...

Re: Well Here is a New Project

Bob, Very nice. I notice the Florida registration. Where do you sail? I've been wanting to find a resonable priced Typhoon here on the SW side of FL with trailer. Tough to come by down here. Keep us posted on your project.

Re: How many 12V batteries do you have onboard?

Suggest Nigel Calder's maintenance book for by-the-numbers calculation of demand and very belt and suspenders recommendations. Agreed, would highly recommend anyone with a somewhat complicated boat to get and read Calder's "Boatowner's Mechanical and Electrical Manual". I had to read sect...

Re: How many 12V batteries do you have onboard?

A simplistic approach is to determine how many amps are needed between charges and then size the battery bank for about 4X the calculated amps. In my situation I use about 100 amps a day, so have 400 amp house bank (4 6V Trojans). Using 150 watt solar panel and a 125 amp alternator with a smart char...
