windlass
Thanks for the pictures. It looks like the manual retrieval would be difficult with the stay sail gooseneck, but possible. I think I will be going electric with a similar set up. I can't continue to haul the anchor by hand, I need to save my back so will be able to enjoy my retirement. It must be ni...

size matters
When I bought the boat it came with the 45# CQR. Its really not that bad except for the work out pulling it up by hand (I am not retired yet so pulling it up by hand is considered acceptable). It provides a good peace of mind when it starts blowing real hard. I would consider trading for a 35# I if ...

roller furling
If I have a small sail (mule/triad) with a wire built into the luff, can I use a small sail roller furling. These only have a drum and swivel head. Will this allow the sail to roll or do I need a separate stay. ?

md7a
I have a MD7a on my 1977 CD30K. Its starts wonderfully and solidly all the time. Some local engine shops say its a great engine and it should last for a very long time if itis taken care of. You should spray it with an engine protectector (grease in a bottle) to prevent corrosion that could make it ...

mule sail roller furling
Hello, I am looking small roller furling for my mule (triad) sail on my CD30 ketch.. I can use the wire in the sail so i don't need a stay. I just need a small drum and head. Does anyone have these parts laying around from a small day sailer or something?
