Boom Vang and crushing the Spar
Use a stainless or aluminum bolt that extends through the spar and is threaded only on the part that sticks out of the spar. That would probably be a 3/8 inch bolt 3 and 1/2 inches long with 1/2 inch of thread on the end for your boom. Use a locking or stop nut. The lack of threads prevents one from...
