Re: Unstepping Mast on Typhoon when it's on stands
Thanks; the explanation and ancillary suggestions are straightforward and make sense. I'm donating the boat to a sailing school so will have someone from the school to help out. In the years I've owned the boat, the CDO website and the knowledgeable group of sailors who support its message board hav...

Unstepping Mast on Typhoon when it's on stands
Sorry; looked for this subject under headings but couldn't find it. I've owned the Gusto for a number of year but have never had to unstep the mast myself. I couldn't find instructions in the owner's manual posted on the CDO website either. I will most likely have to unstep the mast with the boat ou...

recommendations for teak perservative & valve beneath dr
I must once again clean the teak on our Typhoon. Previously, I've oil but not a preservative/sealant after cleaning. Of course, this process must be repeated at least every 2 years to keep the teak for graying. I don't much care for the look of varnish. Does anyone have a recommendation for a coatin...

Looking for advice to improve mainsail performance
Newly purchased Doyle mainsail never fills out at any point of sail. Instead crease-like lines run downwards from each gromet at roughly 45° angles. The sail isn't scalloped and the main halyard is tight. I suspect these creases is something obvious I have missed and not a manufacturing problem. New...
