Hello,
I'd appreciate any help out there. I'm wondering if my water pump is shot. The impeller doesn't appear damaged, but no water shoots out the exhaust, so how to check what needs replacing? Thank you.

I found out it's easier to remove the shoe than the track. nyuk nyuk nyuk. Also, learned WM wants $65. ea. so I'll be looking online now.

Yesterday, while close reaching, the cabintop jibsheet fairlead snapped off at the base; is replacing this a major task, or is there a way to just slide the car on/off the track?

My current concern is, it seems the p.o. went to a heavier gauge for standing rigging, probably for insurance before sailing down here from the west coast, not sure... any pros and cons of that? Going downwind or broad reaching, the upper main lies flat against the spreaders. I'm wondering if a vang or full battens might improve sail shape? Or how does one tell if the mains'l needs replacing? Thank you,
