1996 Robinhood 36 for sale

Our 1996 Robinhood 36 is listed on Yachtworld in Seattle. I think it is the only Robinhood on the West Coast. https://www.yachtworld.com/yacht/1996-r ... r-9273619/

It should be noted there is no deck gel coat crazing so common with Cape Dory boats.

Direct Drive Autopilot components (SOLD)

The direct drive autopilot components were purchased to replace the wheel pilot configuration autopilot on our Robinhood 36 sailboat but I decided to just upgrade the wheel pilot system instead. Consequently I have a new never used Raymarine Type 1 Linear Actuator, Raymarine ACU-200 Actuator Control...

Re: Davits on a CD36

Thanks for your input. Since mos of our sailing will be in coastal waters I think we are going to stick to towing our dinghy until another approach is warranted. You certainly have a lot going on back there. It looks like your radar mount is attached to the back stay. Is that correct? I also see the...

Re: Davits on a CD36

John, your reply made me laugh. To a large degree you are preaching to the choir. I have two Minto's (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minto_Sailing_Dinghy). One is a Ranger I have had for about 40 years and one is a Rich Passage, which I built when I owned that company. Similar to the Fatty Knees,...

Davits on a CD36

We purchased an eight foot Zodiac and it does fit between the mast and the main sheet traveler. Just barely. However, even at just 73 pounds it is a pain hoisting it to get it off the boat and to retrieve it. So I am looking at the stern of my Robinhood 36 and trying to visualize if davits could wor...

Re: CD 36 life line thread

I ordered a 5/16"-24 Left Hand thread pelican hook from Marine Parts Depot. It would not thread onto the life line. So I took the jam nut from the life line to a local screw specialty store to confirm the thread. They didn't carry any left hand threaded fasteners, but did assure me the nut had ...

CD 36 life line thread

I lost the pelican hook from one of my life lines. It appears to be a left hand thread, but I can't tell if is a 5/16 x 24 or a M8 x 1 thread. Was one or the other standard?

Re: Engine not starting

Jim, With regard to the starter relay, I am guessing at the function. I assume the issue is there is insufficient current via the existing wiring to actuate the starter solenoid, but by using the ignition switch to actuate the starter relay which when closed provides a direct path from power source ...

Re: Engine not starting

Jim, Easy is a relative term. On the 36 the Yanmar 3JH2E doesn't have much clearance on the starter motor side. I think the only access would be from aft of the engine. I might be too old and too big to make that journey. However, thanks for the recommendation on the starter relay. As I sit at the k...

Engine not starting

This 1995 Robinhood 36 is a new boat to me and so there will be many "firsts". This "first" I hope is a "one off". We had motored out of the marina and sailed for about an hour. When I turned the ignition key to restart the engine I heard the alarm but there was no resp...

Jacob,
I kind of thought I would eventually see some pictures of Joanie in the eye candy forum. Here is a picture of Florian arriving in Gig Harbor.

Jacob,
Here is the Florian bimini. The dodger and bimini were designed and built by Iverson.

Re: Bimini height on CD36 (again?!)

Jake, The bimini on Florian is higher than the end of the boom and aft of the boom so there is no clearance issue. Consequently there is ample head room at the wheel with plenty of shade. Even with the forward edge of the bimini that far aft it restricts the view of the top of the mast from the whee...
