Brett,
Hope you are in the water way before then.......and about this weekend.....looks like SCA's until this evening. Northerlys about 15 to 20. We still might cross the Bay and pass through Knapps and anchor in Baby Owl Creek if anyone is intersted.

THIS WEEKEND
Hey fellow CDrs. Mad Hatter and crew will be spending our first weekend of the new season on the water. We will possibly sail to Eastern Bay since the winds look like northwesterly on Sat. Maybe duck into a creek along the way or continue on toward St Mikes. I'll post the possible destinations on Fr...

Frank/Will et al:
We are planning a trip to New England starting the last week in June. So, we won't be joining the cruise. But as Will mentioned, we will be posting our destinations for weekend cruises as the season progresses. Hopefully other CD owners will join us when possible.

Hot Water Heater
I just changed out my old Raritan 6 gal heater. What a pain in the ------. But, it can be done without damaging or cutting the boat. You have to cut away the outer shell and fittings and then the main body will pass through the opening. We bought a 6 gal model from Atlantic. It was about $500 or les...

Chesapeake Bay Cape Dorians
Fellow sailers, Although our fleet has three scheduled cruises for this upcoming season, there are lots of weekends available to share this beautiful bay with other Cape Dory owners......two years ago we posted a note on the board that we planned a weekend trip to a cove near Knapps Narrows. We were...

Mitch,
If all else fails, try Jamestown Fasteners in Bristol, RI. At least I think they are now in Bristol. They have a website that I've ordered from.
If you cannot find the website, let me know and I'll send it.

Hot Water Heater
Thanks to all that have replied to my post. I think I have enough options now to get a new heater that fits.......the Atlantic posting was a big help. Lot's of options.

Bottom Paint
Brett,
If you decide to go with sanding, I just bought an orbital sander/vacuum combo. I'm doing the Hatters bottom this spring too. So before you buy or rent, let me know.

4th of July
Mad Hatter and crew will be in Long Island Sound area during the 4th and Oyster Harbor might be a good fit for our return trip to the Chesapeake. We'll keep tabs on the progress of the "float in" and just might attend.

CD36 Hot Water Heater
Has anyone had experience changing the hot water heater in their 36? Ours has a Raritan 6 gal and I'm in the process of removing it due to high corrosion and leaks. I've found the space alloted at the top of the port lazzarette isn't sufficient to replace with the same model. Any experiences to share?
