MAD HATTER IS IN MAINE

We arrived in Maine officially on Tuesday. Our approach to Boothbay Harbor was accompanied by several squalls, thunder, lightning, heavy cold rain and hail. Two days in the harbor to dry out and rest up. We will be heading over to Penobscott Bay for a week or so. Anyone up here in the area let us kn...

OYSTER BAY FOURTH OF JULY

Not too many CDs turned out for the fourth in Oyster Bay. In fact, just two......Loonsong & Mad Hatter. Warren Kaplan came by to say his wife was feeling ill so he could not stay. There were so few boats in the harbor as compared to last year we thought we had our days mixed up and were late. Ho...

Hot Water Heater

Charlie & Jan, I replaced my hot water heater two winters ago with a square stainless steel model with the same capacity....it saved some valuable space on the batt shelf....I can get the model name and number if you want.....or look for a link on the board. I think Jerry Axler did the same thin...

The Mad Hatter is going to Maine

The Mad Hatter and crew will be making another trip to New England this summer. Last year we made if as far as Cuttyhunk. This year with a whole month off (July) we hope to make it to Maine. Along the way we plan to stop at Block Island (if we sail offshore from Cape May) or a few places along the L...

There are two little bulbs on mine....each facing a different direction with the little wires soldered together at the base....I am confused on how the two wires from belo...

Compass Navigation Light

Has anyone ever had any reason to replace the little lights that illuminate the compass when the nav ligthts are turned on? If so, where did you get the replacements and how in the world do they actually work.....two real small guage wires, probably 22 ga or smaller, and both seem to go the the same...
