The pivot point for the boom vang should be directly below the pivot point for the boom (gooseneck). Otherwise every time the boom moves the required length changes and adjustment is required. Fisherman

The Fisherman staysail is a rectangular (kind of) sail that is raised between the masts and above the foresail. The top of it goes from the top of the fore mast to the top of the main mast so the top of the sail is angled.

I rotate the shaft and pull it out of anchor. There is a pin that goes though the shaft to prevent the shaft coming right out of the roller fitting. Sounds like the right place for a roll pin to me. Thats what I have on my CD. Sorry if I confused things.

Year of construction vs. Model Year

Since the number is molded into the hull I would assume the number corresponds to the day the hull was molded and the entire number would be reset with the next hull.
