Need Advice on a Typhoon Compression Post

I just noticed that the fore deck, near the cabin rise, on my recently purchased 1974 Typhoon is concave downward instead of concave upward. You can see a modest deflection when it is walked on. CD25D vs CD26D

I plan to purchase either a CD25D or a CD26D (next week). Which of the two would perform better offshore? Are their any other performance differences?
