The Cape Dory Board

I would like to install air contitioning on my CD27 Troika. Something temporary that I could plug in at dockside. I am thinking of a small unit fitted in the companionway. I would use shore power. Any thoughts out there?

I am having a difficult time getting my new main halyard through the sheaves at the top of the mast on my CD 27 Troika. Any suggestions as to how to get the job done?

Has anyone out there replaced the forward hatch on a CD27? And if so, where did you get a replacement hatch to fit and how big a deal was the installation?

I need to replace the instrument panel for my YSB8 Yanmar. I would like to have a tach and an oil pressure guage plus a temp guage or alarm. Does anyone know of a source? Thanks for all replies.

How does the oil filter on the YSB8 work. When you spin it the little blades supposedly strain out any particles in the oil. But what happens to any debris that is collected? It appears to me that it would just drain back into the oil sump. What am I missing?

I may be forced to replace my old reliable Yanmar YSB8 on our CD27 with a Betamarine 10. Can anyone tell me what modifications will have to be made in order to fit the new engine in? Also, can anyone give me a ballpark figure as to total installation cost? Thanks for all replies.

I have a pair of deck shoes that have become dangerously slippery. Does anyone know of any treatment other than sanding the soles that will make them grip thr deck again? Or can anyone recommend a deck shoe that does not become slippery over time?
