AC Installation
I would like to install air contitioning on my CD27 Troika. Something temporary that I could plug in at dockside. I am thinking of a small unit fitted in the companionway. I would use shore power. Any thoughts out there?

CD 27 Forward Hatch
Has anyone out there replaced the forward hatch on a CD27? And if so, where did you get a replacement hatch to fit and how big a deal was the installation?

YSB8 Oil Pressure Problem.
I have replaced the oil pressure guage on my YSB8 engine, but from time to time I get no oil pressure. The guage works on an oil line from the engine. A mechanic has told me there is probably gunk somewhere in the system. We have ruled out the line to the guage as a culprit. Any suggestions out ther...

SB8 Engine Oil Problem
I started up my Yanmar SB8 engine today and the oil pressure gauge indicated no oil pressure. This happened once before, but the pressure came up to normal in about 30 seconds. Not today. It idled smoothly, but the pressure never came up. The overheat warning light did not come on. I have two questi...

Teak Problem
Teak question here: I was cleaning my teak cockpit coaming yesterday. Using a mild cleaner (Iosso) and a fairly soft brush. Lots of small pieces of wood came off each time I hosed the cleaner off. This has been happening fo a while with small bits coming off every time I hose the boat down. It is no...

YSB8 Oil Filter Question
How does the oil filter on the YSB8 work. When you spin it the little blades supposedly strain out any particles in the oil. But what happens to any debris that is collected? It appears to me that it would just drain back into the oil sump. What am I missing?

Replacing SB8 with a Beta10
I may be forced to replace my old reliable Yanmar YSB8 on our CD27 with a Betamarine 10. Can anyone tell me what modifications will have to be made in order to fit the new engine in? Also, can anyone give me a ballpark figure as to total installation cost? Thanks for all replies.

Deck Shoe Treatment
I have a pair of deck shoes that have become dangerously slippery. Does anyone know of any treatment other than sanding the soles that will make them grip thr deck again? Or can anyone recommend a deck shoe that does not become slippery over time?
