HMMM... Methinks the Tadpole Sailor
may have lost his tail and started to grow webbed feet, gills are disappearing to be replaced by lungs, and the waterlocked tadpole may already have a trailer in his future, to become a TRUE amphibian!

Two resources........perhaps
Used to be a great interactive discussion board in England, but the original website isn't active (at least the one I saved doesn't work anymore), but you might take a look at the following. http://yanmarhelp.com/quicklinks.htm Perhaps you can find an answer in the histories, or e-mail the gentleman...

Source of Leak?
Saltwater in bilge? Perhaps a slow leak from the Grounding block on the Starboard side of the bilge... Perhaps a weeping from a bad O-ring from the knotmeter if it's located on the Port side of the bilge... And I've even seen the sink seacock leak from not being tightened enough to keep it from leak...

BUY a BOAT......ANY BOAT.
I first learned to sail at 18 in 1968.....so I don't think we're too far apart in age...assuming your "government pension"...... and I enjoyed the sailing experience, but did not reconsider it unit 1976 when I met my neighbor who was BUILDING a WOODEN boat!. (This accelerated his divorce p...

Stiff Exhaust Hose
Before you destroy the exhaust hose, try running the engine for a few minutes. The combination of exhaust heat and warm exhaust water will allow the hose to become more supple, and you may be able to save the hose for reuse. Definitely replace all 4 hose clamps. Re the exhaust elbow... just replaced...

25D soles and holes
I'm assuming that you're intending to cut an -additional- hole in your cabin sole. If you stick your head into the original bilge hole and look forward, you should be able to see anything that might impede your desire to find extra storage space. If memory serves me correctly, the 25D has a shallow ...

A possible fix.
OK, I'll be the first to say it's not REALLY environmentally friendly (this could be a problem in CO), but a 'friend' of mine used the product from TEMPO MARINE called "clear antifoulant spray". As 'he' recalls, it was a 2part application in a spray can format, and went on clear and easily...

Just remember to pour SLOWLY and directly into the scupper......It will certainly remove the patina off any green brass fixtures .... Hmmmmmm..Wonder if I could shine the portholes up? Nah, be...
